| Description | OEM CRANKSHAFT CATEGORY 2 (MARKED ON CRANK WEB OPPOSITE BIG END) - PRIMAVERA/SPRINT/FLY 3V 150 VESPA 946 The PIAGGIO LEM (iGet) motors 150cc (or 125cc for some markets) possess build tolerances for the plan bearings of the crankshaft bearing (main bearing). To compensate for the varying case dimensions PIAGGIO fitted either a category 1 (A) or 2 (B) crankshaft types. THIS IS A TYPE 2 with a 2 stamped on the web opposite the big end bearing. If you intend to replace the crankshaft ensure you order the correct type. The only way to determine the crank type is to remove the crank and see the number stamp on the web. There is also a design change on the Primavera and Sprint cranks. Some come with pie shape webs and other have larger round webs, these are interchangeable and superseded to each other. These cranks have the larger round webs. Do not forget to order new gaskets and seals! We have a few YouTube videos on replacing the crank shaft on your Vespa or Piaggio 150. |
