*CARBON FIBER LOOK*  PAIR HANDLE BAR SWITCH COVERS VESPA GTS 300 HPE2 2023-CURRENT

THESE ARE NOT REAL CARBON FIBER, ONLY A HYDRO DIP PAINTED FINISH. 

We're not sure why they put chrome switch covers on an ALL blacked out model, but all GTS from 2023 onwards come with chrome Switch plate covers. In order to avoid having to paint them, we are now offering the new covers for the Switch assemblies already painted in black or carbon fiber. The fit of the Covers is similar to the original, but it will be necessary to remove the original switches. You will need to dismantle the individual switches and insert them into the new covers. To remove the individual Switches from the original Covers, we recommend the appropriate Tool, (TOOLSCREWD and TOOLTRIM) Decorative Trims pry bars, a lot of skill, and a lot of patience.

Here's a quick run down and we will also have a video soon, but it is still NOT easy at all. If you break a switch they are NOT available separately, you will have to buy a whole new switch block. 

Left Switch.
Joystick cover pops off, no release
High low has release tab on bottom. Use small flat screwdriver to press white plastic to release switch cover. May have to sand switch down to clear thicker painted cover
Don't lose index ball on between switch and cover inside.
Turn signals. Carefully remove back plate (brown cover). May have to remove screws to allow case to flex to remove back cover. Back cover is very brittle.
Remove slide, retain index ball.
Slide out retaining clip for switch slider. Switch and button will release. Note centering spring between switch and housing.
Use flat pry tool to keep spring in place when installing. Hold in place and set retaining clip.
Insert slider with ball facing outside.
Install backing plate carefully, backing is VERY brittle. 

Right Switch.
Use pry tool to carefully pop off kill switch.
Mode and seat switch are easily released when switches on back are unscrewed and removed.

Note zipties on both switches before dismantling. Switch housing inners and cover will need to be carefully pried apart. Double stick tape holds them together. Will need to clean off old adhesive and use a very thin double stick tape. The new switch housings do not fit as well as the stock original housing.
