This results in your carb not receiving enough fuel for proper operation which can lead to serious running problems, especially while travelling at full throttle. A leaky fuel tap can also have undesirable side effects such as the carb flooding out and the scooter being unwilling to start. Gas leaking into the frame and on your garage floor can have obvious fire hazards. In both cases replacement offers a quick and easy solution. We offer fuel taps for all regular Vespa small frame, large frames, and modern models. Regrettably, original PIAGGIO fuel taps for the wide frame models are no longer available, but many of the taps we carry will still work. The fuel taps that fit VBB models from the 1960s with the glass/metal sediment bowls are no longer available from us, but the 158793 is an ideal replacement.
