Castle Nut Vespa GS/SS

Castleated Bearing Retainer and Seal Seat for Vespa GS160 and SS180.

This is found at the front AND rear hubs on all VSB and VSC applications. This retainer is LEFT-HAND thread and can only be removed with a SPECIAL TOOL.. It secures the bearing and acts as the seat for the rear hub oil seal.

There are two different sizes of this retainer. THIS ONE HAS AN OUTSIDE DIMENSION OF 54MM. The other large frame Vespas from 1958-1971 use the smaller retainer. The SMALLER retainer (Reference # 2/046688) has an O.D. of 49MM.
