An aftermarket rear adjustable shock (rear suspension) that will lower the rear of the Buddy by 3 inches! Great for riders of shorter stature or land speed racers that need the Buddy lowered a little further than it already is. We've been using this shock to benefit riders in the 5'0" to 5'5" and similar range.
The Genuine Buddy is already a great scooter with a lower ride height. This adjustable lowered shock for the Buddy lowers it even more and is so beneficial for riders with shorter legs.
Installing this shorter rear shock for the Buddy is easy! Just put the Buddy on the centerstand, remove the upper and lower shock bolts, remove the old shock, and use the same two bolts to attach the new lowered shock. Just two bolts and you're done! The air filter and body pieces do NOT have to come off.
Two shock tools are included for adjusting the spring pre-load to make it easier to adjust the rear shock for softer riding, sport riding, or two-up riding.

**Disclaimer** You will have to modify your sidestand if you want to keep using it with this lowered rear shock. It can be shortened or bent outwards. We used a large pipe to bend the sidestand out slightly and it's been working great! Also the centerstand will be a little harder to use, but the lowered seat height makes the scooter so much more enjoyable. The ride will be a little stiffer in the back due to decreased travel in the rear shock.
