ASR SYSTEM CALIBRATION PROCEDURE
Please follow the calibration procedure below.
Must be performed as follows on a straight flat stretch of road. This is also good when replacing one or both tires.
- Ride a short distance (above 5 Mph) and wait for the flashing of the ABS warning light and ASR icon to stop: the diagnostic phase of the ASR and ABS systems is finished. - Stop the vehicle and leave the engine running at idle for at least 3 seconds. - Turn the ASR system off by pressing the ASR button on the handlebar and check that the ASR disabling icon light stays on steady. - With the scooter still running press and hold simultaneously the right brake lever, the engine start-up button, and the ASR on/off button for at least 4 seconds. - Then press the ASR button for at least 3 seconds. The activation process will be confirmed by the ASR icon light turning on with slow flashing. - Accelerate to a constant speed of 25 Mph and maintain it for at least to 10 seconds. - The end of the procedure will be indicated by the turning off of the ASR button (ASR light on). - Once the procedure is complete, turn the ignition switch to «OFF», wait at least 30 seconds and then turn it back «ON». In case of failure to complete the procedure within 2 minutes, the ASR symbol light will stay on steady and the ASR will remain off until the next key cycle. - To restart the ASR, it is necessary to turn the key to «ON», and repeat the procedure until getting the positive result.
