Cylinder kits are the best way to get more power out of your scooter.
They increase displacement (cc's), which increases torque (low to mid-range power). This helps with acceleration, top-speed, hill climbing, and carrying a passenger. In fact, a kit can turn your 50cc scooter into a 70cc, your 125-150cc up to a 166-187cc, and so forth. For most scooters, it's the one upgrade that immediately offers the most POWER.
We recommend getting professional help with the installation of a cylinder kit. It usually takes 2-4 hours of labor time depending on the mechanic and how much tuning is required. Additionally, automatic scooters often benefit from a change in roller weight in order to get the motor revving to the peak-power rpm for the cylinder kit.
Please note: two-stroke cylinder kits need to have their ports chamfered before installation. (Chamfering is a process that smooths the edges of the cylinder ports so piston rings don't catch as they pass over.) Re-jetting is also required for both two-stroke and four-stroke kits.
Cylinder kits are highly recommended for all 50-150cc four stroke scooters, and two-stroke scooters of any size. As the old saying goes,
"There's no replacement for displacement."
